Jackson Gilbert Selected Scholar Athlete of the Year

Jackson as an athlete he is a 4 year Varsity Golfer and has competed in the PAL tournament all 4 years he has been a mentor and leader for all of our players. He has continuously worked with our freshman and sophomores to teach them the Hillsdale Way.
Academically Jackson is an exceptional student. He has above a 4.0 GPA, has taken a total of 8 AP courses, 4 as a Senior and 4 as a Junior.
For an extracurricular Jackson has created the Model United Nations Club at Hillsdale. A club where students from numerous high schools meet up at conferences to discuss global issues such as hunger or refugees from the perspective of certain countries, then they try to work together to form solutions to those issues.
With all listed, Jackson Gilbert should be highly recommended to win the Outstanding Scholar Athlete Award. Many of our student athletes excel in the classroom and in their sport, but I don’t know many that try to effect change as well.
