This past Tuesday (10/25), the HHS Girl’s Tennis Team played in its final match of the season against Aragon High School. Although they were narrowly defeated (final team score: 3-4), all of the players fought exceptionally hard against their biggest rival. Singles no. 3 Celine Liu, singles no. 4 Julia Richardson, and doubles no. 2 Lana Feltsman and Solana Deguchi clutched three victories for Hillsdale. Doubles no. 1 Natalie Schmier and Sophia Roser battled against two of Aragon’s top seniors. These young freshman players played three sets (final score: 7-5, 5-7, 5-7), and unfortunately lost after 2.5 hours of intense playing. “I am very proud of the freshman. Although the team lost, all of the players have really improved so much throughout the season and I saw everyone fighting and putting their heart into the game to play their best against their opponents,” said Coach Jackie Nachtigall. “I am very proud of them, GO LADY KNIGHTS!”
