Mike Parodi

Head Varsity Coach / QBS / Linebackers

Mike Parodi is entering his 9th year as the Head Coach of the Hillsdale Fighting Knights Football Program. The Knights are entering their first year in the PAL Ocean Division this fall.

In 2013, the Varsity team won the PAL Lake Division Championship and they were again CCS Playoff Quarterfinalists. Coach Parodi was named the PAL Lake Coach of the Year.

In 2009, Coach Parodi’s first year, the Varsity team won the PAL Lake Division Championship and went to the CCS Playoffs for the first time since 1991. He was named the PAL Lake Division Coach of the Year as well as the San Mateo County Times Coach of the Year.

Born and raised in San Mateo, Coach Parodi is a 1994 graduate of Serra High School where he played football. He then attended City College of San Francisco where he also played football for 2 years, winning a 1994 Junior College National Championship. Coach Parodi then moved across town to San Francisco State University where he received his Bachelors of Arts in Kinesiology in 1998. He continued his academic journey by attending College of Notre Dame, Belmont, where he received his California Teaching Credential in 2000. He then received his Masters of Science in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Emporia State University in 2003.

Coach Parodi is currently teaching Health, Physical Education, and Weight Training at Hillsdale.

This is his 19th year as a football coach and 16th year as a teacher.
