Ben Frame Hillsdale Scholar Athlete Award

Ben Frame is Hillsdale scholar athlete of the year.

Ben has competed at a very high in football since freshman year, and ran track, while maintaining a 4.19 GPA…In 2015, he was our backup quarterback but ended up playing receiver for us the last 4 games starting with the Aragon game.  In that game he threw a very memorable double pass touchdown on the last play of the first half… He was a major contributor throughout the playoffs on our way to the 2015 CCS Championship game where he was our leading receiver…In 2016 he was slated as our starting quarterback and in the games he was able to play he was dynamite…

He ended up cutting his football career short after suffering 2 concussions in 3 weeks… He put his academics, and big picture career/success, ahead of his sports which I believe needs to be recognized and applauded…  He never missed a practice after that decision – he was there every day to support his teammates.  He helped coach the young QB’s and also was at my side every game helping me see what the defense was doing.  He was still a major contributor even though he could not play…He would have been one of the top QB’s in the PAL Bay and our season would have been different – he was that significant to our team…Off the field, he tutored many of our kids over the 4 years. He took his time to help others in need and make sure they were successful as well…Outstanding young man who also happens to be a great student/athlete…
